This week’s CSA box contained
- watermelon
- kale
- cucumbers
- bell peppers
- tomatoes
- peaches
- arugula
Many of the tomatoes that came in this week’s box were in serious need of help. So I’m thinking that I should peel and crush them to make a tomato sauce from scratch. That means boiling water and dunking the tomatoes then icing them. This makes the skins start to peel and then you can easily remove them.
The real challenging item in this week’s box is the watermelon which I like watermelon but I can’t possibly eat all of it raw. I have no idea what to do with it. I’m considering popsicles perhaps or a granita? I’m not sure which I’ll try to make. My freezer is super full so a granita would be pretty difficult so popsicles are much more likely.
